Turkish National Intelligence Service (MIT) neutralized Mutlu Kacar, one of the leaders of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in an operation carried out in Syria, Ednews reports via Anadolu Agency.
The PKK is designated as a terrorist organization by Türkiye , the United States, the European Union, and several more countries, and represents the issue of dispute between Turkey and Syria.
In addition, this organization affects relations between Türkiye and Sweden because Istanbul considers that Stockholm does not do enough to eliminate PKK on its territory. Moreover, this is one of the reasons why Turkey is slowing down the process of Sweden's accession to NATO.
