United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced on Wednesday during a Security Council meeting that 111 members of the organization have died in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the escalation.
He said that 80% of Gaza residents have been displaced, while around 45% of all homes in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed.
The UN chief underlined that the level of aid given to Palestinians in Gaza is "completely inadequate to meet the huge needs of more than two million people," and called once again for a ceasefire.
