The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Sunday said that Israel, under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's leadership, is actively working to "solidify the separation" between the occupied West Bank and Gaza.
The ministry alleges that this strategy, marked by deadly raids and tacit support for settler violence, aims to undermine the prospects of a future Palestinian state.
The statement came in condemnation of the killing of Ahmad Mostafa Assi, a Palestinian man shot by Israeli forces on Saturday. The soldiers later prevented medical teams from approaching Assi, leaving him to bleed to death. The ministry described Assi's death as "a deliberate attempt to escalate the situation."
