Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian (pictured) on Sunday warned of a potential broader regional conflict if Israel does not cease what he labeled as "war crimes" against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
In a phone conversation with EU Foreign Policy Chief Joseph Borrell, the Iranian official expressed concerns that the ongoing Israeli military actions could deepen and expand the scope of the conflict. He particularly condemned Israel's alleged plans and practices to forcibly remove Palestinians from their lands, urging an immediate halt to military attacks in Gaza.
