Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority (PA) will govern the Gaza Strip in the future.
Netanyahu also reiterated that the ceasefire proposal presented by United States President Joe Biden will not lead to the end of the war in the Gaza Strip. He explained that it will only lead to a temporary ceasefire to liberate Israeli hostages captured by Hamas.
"The war will stop in order to bring hostages back, and afterward we will hold discussions. There are other details that the US president did not present to the public," the prime minister said before the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, adding that there are "gaps" between the Israeli version and Biden's interpretation of the proposal.
