“Azerbaijan is a very active state of Asian Development Bank’s the CAREC (Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program) program and we highly appreciate it. Of course, Azerbaijan is important state of Middle Corridor. Today, at the CAREC ministerial meeting, we will discuss the branching out trade and transport corridors, including the Middle Corridor. The Asian Development Bank is already implementing many projects in this direction, such as, joint customs checkpoint between Georgia and Azerbaijan. This is also a part of Middle Corridor. There is much work that needs to be done. We do a lot of evaluation and analysis and this is very important. Azerbaijan is very active in many aspects, such as in customs, facilitation of trade, trade policy, etc. We also work in the healthcare sector. In short, Azerbaijan is an important member of the CAREC program,” Asian Development Bank’s representative emphasized.
