The next meeting of the Economic Council of Azerbaijan in 2024 has been held, Ednews reports citing the Cabinet of Ministers.
In the agenda of the meeting held under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Economic Council, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, macroeconomic and financial stability, including the current situation and policy directions, main directions of monetary policy, development of banking and insurance sectors, production of agricultural products, food security, efficient use of land and the current state of agricultural exports, challenges and goals for the years 2024-2030, activities related to Islamic finance (banking), implementation of the Artificial Intelligence-based Automated Risk Analysis System in the Customs Formalization Platform, and other current issues were extensively discussed.
During the meeting, presentations by the President of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov, Minister of Agriculture Mecnum Mammadov, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Baghirov, and Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Beshirli were listened to.
At the end of the meeting, decisions were made on the issues discussed, taking into account the opinions and suggestions of the members of the Economic Council, and relevant assignments were given to the respective institutions."
