As we reported, the Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan invites the representatives of the Armenian public of Karabakh a second round of talks to continue contacts on reintegration and discuss the issues related to implementation of infrastructure projects in Karabakh.
The talks will be held in Baku in the coming days.
Speaking to Ednews about the issue, Umud Mirzayev, President of the International Eurasia Press Fund, said that immediately after the 44-day war, Azerbaijan took initiatives to meet Armenian residents living in the Karabakh economic region.
According to him, holding the second round talks means that the problem is solved.
"These talks can play a serious role in the formation of relations. We know that the first meeting was held on March 1 in Khojaly. I consider that Azerbaijani citizens in Karabakh should already know the road of Baku. All conflicts pass through negotiations, relations, peace. The President of the country has repeatedly given messages from the high stands that the necessary conditions will be created for the citizens of Azerbaijan living in Karabakh. He said that security problems will be solved.
U. Mirzayev also added that the people of Azerbaijan have always demonstrated a position of peace.
"The current conflict was not created by Azerbaijanis. Everyone knows that. Local people living there know this, as well.
After the "bearded" separatists from Russia and Armenia, the balance in the region was disturbed. Now it is not the time for talking with guns, we are long past that stage. I am sure that we can solve problems by conducting soft powers, score diplomacy, and dialogues. The separatists there will not stay, they will not be able to make a decision, no matter how fast and intensive these negotiations are. "Today, the mission of giving certain messages and speaking on behalf of the Armenians living in Karabakh should be taken from the hands of the separatists."
It should be noted that the first round talks with representatives of the Armenian public of Karabakh was held on March 1 in the city of Khojaly. Ramin Mammadov, deputy of the Milli Majlis, who was appointed as the person responsible for contacts with the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the representatives of the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the headquarters of the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation temporarily stationed in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, preliminary discussions were held on the reintegration of Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region into the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
