“I would like to express my deep sadness and condemnation of the unimaginable atrocities committed against Azerbaijani civilians during the 31 March Genocide. The Armenian Dashnaks and Bolsheviks carried out a brutal campaign of violence, killing over 70,000 innocent people, burning and destruction of numerous Azerbaijani villages, and forcibly driving people from their homes in a number of regions, including Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Karabakh, Zangezur, Nakhchivan, Lankaran, Ganja, and others.”

Qaiser Nawab, a highly esteemed international expert on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa expressed his deep sadness on the 31 March Genocide, Ednews reports.

“It is clear that the Armenians bear full responsibility and accountability for these heinous acts and crimes against humanity. The international community and international law should take strong action to hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions, and to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future. It is also important to recognize the suffering and loss of the Azerbaijani people during the 31 March Genocide and to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future. This also includes the recognition of the 31 March Genocide as an act of genocide, and the holding of those responsible accountable under international law”, he noted.

According to him, international law provides a framework for addressing such crimes against humanity, and it is crucial that the international community takes appropriate legal measures to ensure that the perpetrators of such atrocities are brought to justice:

“The international community can also play a role in preventing such tragedies from occurring in the future by working to promote peace, respect for human rights, tolerance between different ethnic groups, security, and stability in the region. This includes working towards a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which has been a major source of tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia for many years. It is only through mutual understanding and respect that we can prevent such tragedies from occurring again in the future. Indeed through a culture of dialogue, cooperation, and respect for international law, we can create a better future for all people in the region.”
