"The re-election of Recep Tayyip Erdogan as president of Turkey was double celebratory news. His victory on May 28 brought joy to Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani people celebrated this victory into the night. He was elected after winning the trust and love of the Turkish people. Umud Mirzayev, president of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF), told EDnews this while commenting the presidential election held in Turkey.
"The elections were held under very difficult and tense conditions. Because for the first time in Turkey the elections remained in the second round. Although R.T. Erdogan won the first round of elections held on May 14, he did not manage to pass the required 50 percent barrier. That's why the elections were postponed for 14 days."
He noted that Recep Tayyip Erdogan will continue to do great things for Turkey and the Turkic world. The brotherly country will continue to expand its successes in the defense industry under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"The international and the great powers, expected to be able to change policy in the region. Erdogan has disappointed them, as usual. We believe that the fate of the Turkic-speaking states, that is, Turan, has already been decided. Mirzayev said the fact that President Ilham Aliyev was the first to congratulate Erdogan on his victory testifies to the great love and friendship growing stronger day by day between the two brotherly countries.
"Turkish President has a great influence in the world. He defends Turkey's interests in different regions with determination and principle.Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also loved in Azerbaijan. He gave political and moral support to Azerbaijan during the WWII. Erdogan's election will strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. The two brotherly countries will do great things in the future by showing solidarity and unity. I believe that the weight and influence of Turkey and Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus will grow stronger. Our relations on economic and military issues will also develop. The alliance between Azerbaijan and Turkey will become stronger, and this will enable us to resolve the remaining issues in Karabakh. Erdogan's victory also disappointed Armenians.
