Armenia will become a full member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on February 1, 2024, according to the ICC statement, Ednews informs referring to Armenian media.
Armenia will become the 124th participating state and the 19th country from the Eastern European group, the document says.
Earlier, a ceremony was held at the UN to transfer the original ratification for storage to the UN International Treaties Department. The handover of the original completed the process of Armenia’s accession to the International Criminal Court.
In addition, the ICC noted that the Armenian side handed over documents confirming that Yerevan retroactively accepts the jurisdiction of the court from May 10, 2021.
