Under the leadership of Konul Nurullayeva, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF), committee members visited Riyadh city on November 15-18, 2023, as well as conducted a technical-economic evaluation of the level of preparation for the Games of Riyadh, which is a candidate city to host the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2025.

Ednews informs that the main purpose of the visit is to get to know the sports infrastructure of the city, as well as to meet the officials of "Riyadh 2025" and representatives of the ISSF General Secretariat in order to discuss a number of important issues, such as the contract to be signed with the host city, ISSF playing standards, accreditation privileges, potential legacy ambitions, and so on.

Members of the Inspection Committee of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games visited the Green Sports Hall, Prince Faisal bin Fahad Stadium, Alawal Park Stadium, King Saud Arena, and others as the part of their visit to sports complexes, as well as got acquainted with the current situation there.

The ISSF Inspection Committee also provided initial guidance and recommendations to the counterparty to support Riyadh's preparations.

It should be noted that a report on the results of the meeting will be prepared by the Inspection Committee and presented to the NOC representatives of 57 participating countries by Konul Nurullayeva at the General Assembly to be held at the end of November. According to the results, hosting city will be voted by the ISSF countries.

At the end of the visit, the Chairman of the Inspection Committee, Konul Nurullayeva, said that it will be possible to hold international-level competitions in various sports in most of the complexes built according to world standards. She stressed that Riyadh city has the potential to host a memorable and successful Games. The MP mentioned about Azerbaijan's hosting of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2017. K.Nurullayeva emphasized that 6 years ago, the message of peace, tranquility, unity and solidarity was addressed to the world with the high-level organization of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan once again presented exemplary standards to the Islamic world. The international community saw a real example of turning solidarity into strength in the experience of our country. The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games were highly praised by the local and international sports community for its level and new progressive standards.

During the visit, Konul Nurullayeva also visited the office of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Saudi Games and met with our young compatriots who work there.
