The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in productive collaboration with the relevant agencies of foreign countries, continues to take measures to arrest and bring to Azerbaijan the persons accused of committing crimes that have been internationally wanted, the Press Service of the Ministry of Justice told Ednews.
On February 3, the Ministry extradited one more internationally wanted person to Azerbaijan. Thus, Ali Huseynov, who was accused of committing the crime of fraud (Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan) by seizing the property of another by means of abuse of trust and deception, and causing a large amount of damage, was located in the Republic of Hungary and he was arrested.
Based on the request of the ministry related to the extradition of that person and all the required documents in accordance with the international procedures submitted, an agreement was reached and A. Huseynov was brought to Azerbaijan from Hungary by the responsible employees of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Justice and the Penitentiary Service and was placed in the Baku Pre-trial Detention Center according to the arrest decision of the court.
By continuing the measures in this regard, the principle of the significance of punishment, which has an exceptional role in the fight against crime, is provided by the Ministry, and criminals are prevented from feeling free and safe anywhere.
