For many years, the Azerbaijani state has taken consistent, systematic measures under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev to bring the perpetrators of the Khojaly genocide to justice and restore historical justice, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists, Ednews informs.
"As a result of all these steps, this year we are marking the Khojaly tragedy in a different environment. It is the first time that sovereignty has been restored in the entire territory, and our tricolor flag is waving in Khojaly," he said.
The minister noted that Azerbaijan continues work in this direction and will continue it in the future. He added that some of those criminals responsible for the Khojaly tragedy have already been held to account and brought before the court.
