Azerbaijan would like to join BRICS, the republic's Ambassador to Moscow Polad Bulbuloglu said in an interview with TASS in anticipation of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Baku, Ednews informs.
"There is a long queue of people wishing to join BRICS. Azerbaijan has indeed expressed such a desire. We have discussed this with our Russian colleagues, but this is also a process and a matter of work," he said, answering the question of whether Baku has officially submitted an application to join the association.
