Elon Musk's X Corp. conducted a new wave of layoffs in early September, Business Insider reported on Tuesday citing two people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, the company, formerly known as Twitter, fired five to 10 employees working on trust and safety issues, in charge of supervising daily communication on the platform and reducing the extent of problematic content. The sources told the media outlet that X's trust and security team currently has only about 20 full-time workers, down from 230 before Musk bought the firm.
Last October, the Washington Post revealed that Musk was planning to dismiss 75% of Twitter's staff, while CNBC reported in January that the company cut 80% of employees since Musk took over.
