Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, started rolling out its latest update, removing headlines from links to articles. According to user reports, the change has rolled out on the web and iOS versions, while headlines are currently still visible in the Android app.
Prior to the change, a link in an X post would display an image followed by a headline and the first two lines of an article. The updated version of the social network only shows a clickable image, with the linked website domain visible in the bottom left corner. X owner Elon Musk announced the change in August, stating it is "coming from me directly" and that it will "greatly improve the esthetics" of his platform.
