Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Wednesday that he expects the company will face "enormous challenges" regarding its electric pickup truck dubbed Cybertruck, noting it is likely to take 12 to 18 months to make the product cash flow positive.
"There will be enormous challenges in reaching volumes production and cash flow positive. This is simply normal; This is our best product ever, but it's going to require immense work to get cash flow positive at a price that people can afford," Musk stated during an earnings call.
Musk also noted the company has already received over a million reservations for the vehicle and that the company plans to make around 250,000 Cybertruck a year by 2025.
