Major stock exchanges on Wall Street opened the Friday session trading mostly with gains, as investors embraced Amazon's latest financial results, which seemingly guided the tech sector out of its slump and into the green territory. In addition, the core PCE price index grew 3.7% in September, with the reading slightly down from August's revised figure of 3.8%.
The Dow Jones was flat at the open. At 9:30 am ET, the S&P 500 grew 0.42%. The Nasdaq 100 advanced 0.97% at the opening bell, with DexCom surging 13.26% at 9:31 am ET.
The euro traded 0.13% higher against the dollar at 9:29 am ET, selling for 1.05796.
