As it was recently reported, two people have been injured in a mine explosion in the Tartar region.
Sometimes reckless behaviours, carelessness and ignorance of people endanger their lives, health and hurt their relatives. Unfortunately, the recent incident in Tartar has once again confirmed these views.
Speaking to Ednews about the incident, Chairman of the Public Council under ANAMA Umud Mirzayev called on the citizens to be more careful. He stressed that not only residents of the former frontline regions, but also those working in the liberated areas should be educated on mine safety.
"In general, it is not right to allow people working in these areas to operate without being trained and educated of health and safety procedures, and these activities can be carried out on the basis of the opinion of the relevant agencies and ANAMA experts. Today, two of our citizens were injured in a mine explosion due to carelessness. In any case, it is strongly recommended that people immediately move away from mine-marked areas," Umud Mirzayev said.
It should be noted that awareness-raising activities are carried out in Tartar, Barda, Fuzuli, Goygol, Goranboy and Dashkasan within the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) trainings organised by the IEPF. The project covers a total of 48 community residents, including 6 districts and 10,000 people in each. Awareness-raising activities in the region will play an important role in reducing the risk of landmines and unexploded ordnance.
