With the financial support of the European Union, UNICEF Office in Azerbaijan and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) has conducted another awareness-raising event under the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) project.
So far awareness-raising trainings have been conducted in Husanli, Gapanli, Qaynaq, Garagaji, Qaynaq, Seydimli, Shikharkh settlements of Tartar, Sahlabad, Askipara villages, as well as Refugee and IDP settlement of Barda region, Yeni Zod village of Goygol, Tap Garagoylu region of Goranboy region, Ednews reports.
During the training events, citizens have been informed about the risks of explosive ordnance and the EORE training project, its importance, measures to be taken and the work to be done.
The training has been led by IEPF Regional Coordinators Vugar Yusifli, Vidadi Mammadzade and members of the Community Committee.
It should be noted that the purpose of the awareness-raising project is to increase the awareness of residents affected by or likely to be affected by mines and other explosive devices, and to reduce risks by encouraging them to behave safely.
