Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has described new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a 'funny guy' following his free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Ibrahimovic is known to have one of the biggest personalities in football and Mourinho insists his humour is one of the Swede's major strengths.
Mourinho knows all about the 34-year-old having worked with him at Inter Milan and he is now looking forward to managing the striker once again.
Speaking to Adidas Front Row, Mourinho said: 'Zlatan? Three words — he's a winner, he's a goalscorer, he's funny.
'He's a funny guy. You need to understand him to use this word to describe him. He's a funny guy.
'If you don't know him maybe you think some quotes a bit arrogant. He's just a funny guy. I would say that. Funny, winner and goalscorer.
'I was so happy to go for him and obviously he's happy to work with me.'
The Portuguese tactician has given the veteran forward an extended break ahead of the new season with Ibrahimovic being allowed to skip United's China tour.
Ibrahimovic, who is currently on holiday in America, could make his United debut in his native Sweden against Galatasaray on July 30.
His United team-mates kick off their pre-season campaign against Championship outfit Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
