The peoples of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan are connected by traditional ties of friendship with ancient historical roots. It is gratifying that today the interstate mutual relations of our countries are consistently developing on a wide spectrum.
Ednews reports that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Imamali Rahman, said these words in a wide-ranging meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Emphasizing that this mutual activity covers political, commercial-economic, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian, and a number of other fields, I. Rahman noted:
"We are constantly paying attention to the comprehensive expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international and regional organizations."
