Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to Azerbaijan Mohammed Adel Embarch held a phone call with Umud Mirzayev, President of the International Eurasia Press Fund.
According to the Ednews, Mr. Adil Embarch expressed his regrets to U. Mirzayev on the incident in which Babashov Khazar Tariyel 1990, the driver of the Community Mine Action Team of IEPF, was injured as a result of the explosion of an anti-personnel mine in the direction of Sugovushan village of Tartar region on April 26.
He expressed that he was deeply saddened by the incident:
"I was very sad when I heard the news. The mine problem is a very serious issue for Azerbaijan. I wish God's healing to your colleague Mr. Khazar. I hope that such incidents will be far away from you."
U. Mirzayev thanked the ambassador for his call and said how serious the landmine problem is.
"Azerbaijan's territory is in a serious situation due to landmine contamination. ANAMA actively continues the activities of the Mine Threat Combat Program in the region. The landmine problem is one of the most important issues to be solved in our country."
