"We offer our condolences to the families and friends of the three people working with the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) who were killed in the mine explosion on April 28 and to the other Azerbaijanis who have been killed or wounded by landmine explosions," Ednews reports that US Embassy Spokesperson told this.
"We work closely with ANAMA and are distressed that landmines and unexploded ordnance continue to kill and maim civilians, block economic development, and impede the safe return of displaced communities.
As the Secretary has emphasized, the United States is committed to peace negotiations and a peaceful future for the entire region," said the Spokesperson.
