The founder and CEO of Roots of Peace, Heidi Thomas Kuhn was guest at the International Press Fund (IEPF).
EDnews informs that Heidi Kuhn, founder and CEO of Roots of Peace, a humanitarian non-profit organisation, paid an official visit to Azerbaijan on May 9-13 at the invitation of the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) and with the support of ANAMA. The aim of visit was to get acquainted with the mine problems in the country, to bring them to the attention of the international community and to support the transformation of mine-contaminated areas into arable land.
EDnews got chance to interviewed with her. During the interview talking to Aysaba Mirzayeva, member of the Board of Trustees of the International Eurasian Press Foundation, H. Kuhn talk about the establishing and mission of the Roots of Peace NGO. Founder of the NGO said that she intends to join forces in the fight against mines and support the elimination of the threat of explosive ordnances by working purposefully in this area.
H. Kuhn also spoke how she fought cancer. She said that she felt bad because of seeing people who were victims of landmines, and also talked about her work related to this.
