On May 29, the staff working in the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) implemented by the International Eurasia Press Fund with the financial support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees started training for farmers from Lachin and Kalbajar districts who are planning to return to Karabakh at the Goygol City Culture House.
Ednews informs that according to the letter received from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), 2 thousand 374 farmers are expected to participate in the training. The trainings, which consist of several sessions and will last until June 2, 2023, are conducted by IEPF trainer - group leader Ruslan Ibrahimbeyli and trainer Raul Binnetzade. Models of mines and explosive ammunition provided by ANAMA were also displayed here.
The main purpose of EORE exercises is to educate the population who will participate in the process of returning to Karabakh and the regions affected by the war, as well as the employees working in those areas and various farms, on the danger of mines and explosives, and to increase their knowledge.
Noted that the work on the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education of IEPF continues in Fuzuli, Aghjabedi, Beylagan, Aghdam, Tartar and Barda regions with the financial allocation of UNHCR and the support of ANAMA.
