President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye Yashar Güler on October 24, Ednews reports.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are successfully developing in all directions, as well as in the military field. In this regard, satisfaction was expressed with the holding of the "Mustafa Kemal Atatürk - 2023" Azerbaijan-Türkiye joint tactical training in different parts of our country and the demonstration of high professionalism and skill during the training.

The Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye emphasized that these exercises coincided with the 100th anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

During the conversation, the importance of the visit of the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Nakhchivan in September of this year was mentioned, noting the role of the regular meetings and contacts of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the development of our relations.

In the meeting, it was especially noted that as a result of the anti-terrorist measures implemented by Azerbaijan last month, the sovereignty of our country has been fully restored.

During the conversation, it was reported that Yashar Güler's visit to Azerbaijan served the development of our relations, including the strengthening of cooperation in the military field, and the perspectives of cooperation were exchanged.
