On November 26-30, 2023, a number of important meetings of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) took place in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Ednews reports.

Firstly, the 12th meeting of the ISSF General Assembly and the next session of the ISSF Executive Committee were held under the leadership of the president of the institution, Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal. During the meetings, discussions were held on some important issues, such as the future strategic planning of the ISSF, budget issues, presentation of the candidate city for the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, amendments to the ISSF Statute, the hosting process for the 7th Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in 2029, and so on. Later, the new logo and branding of ISSF was presented to the participants of the event.

Member of Parliament Konul Nurullayeva, as the Head of the Inspection Committee established in connection with the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games of ISSF, made a report to the member NOC representatives about the level of preparation of the candidate city Riyadh for the Games. During her speech, K. Nurullayeva brought her recommendations about the selection process of the host city to the attention of the meeting participants.  She emphasized that Riyadh has great potential to host the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in 2025.

Moreover, in the seminar organized by the ISSF General Assembly, opinions were exchanged on the issues of "Organizational identity and strategic direction of ISSF", "Strategic focus areas of ISSF and design of interventions", and "Islamic Solidarity Games - Evolution Program". Speaking at the session, K. Nurullayeva expressed her position regarding the organization's new strategy to the representatives of the National Olympic Committees and emphasized how important their role is in the formation of this concept.

As part of their visit to the Kingdom, ISSF officials and NOC representatives also had the chance to watch the 2nd Saudi Games. In her statement to the press, Konul Nurullayeva noted that it is very important to watch the 2nd Saudi Games together with the members of the ISSF Inspection Committee and NOC representatives: "Because we have already visually examined the possibilities of holding the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, and we have a live view of how the competitions will be held in 2025." It is important to highlight that that the Head of the Inspection Committee, Konul Nurullayeva, visited sports and non-sports facilities, met with the members of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd Saudi Games and the World Combat Games, watched the competitions held there, and became familiar with the current situation. Also note that the 2nd Saudi Games is a national sports tournament in which more than 6000 athletes compete in more than 53 sports. The Games are held in order to achieve the goals set by the Kingdom within the framework of the "Vision 2030" program.
