Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian underscored on Wednesday that Washington "brought" the conflict to the Red Sea and Yemen by carrying out the killings of Yemenis in boats.
Speaking on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, the Iranian foreign minister pointed out that the developments in the Red Sea are tied to the war in Gaza, blaming the United States for standing behind Israel's "genocide" in the Palestinian enclave.
The foreign minister reiterated Tehran's stance that it does not intend to play a role in the Middle East crisis but underlined that the resistance groups decided to defend Gaza. "We never agree on the killing of women and children anywhere in the world," he added. "If the genocide in Gaza stops, it will lead to an end to other crises and attacks in the region," the Iranian minister said.
