Kazakhstan has become an important partner of Italy, with which Rome plans to expand cooperation in all areas, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on social networks after meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Ednews informs.
“The visit of the President of Kazakhstan confirms the strategic importance of our relations. The signing of important protocols and agreements in various strategic sectors demonstrates our desire to strengthen our partnership and cooperation with Kazakhstan and Central Asia as a whole,” writes Meloni.
The meetings between Tokayev and Meloni took place in the Italian capital, where Tokayev arrived on Thursday, January 18. During the meetings at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 16 agreements of intent were signed, 12 of which were commercial in nature, in the fields of finance, investment, and renewable energy.
