The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Friday that a missile struck a merchant vessel west of Al Hudaydah, the fourth-largest city in Yemen.
"The crew are reported safe and the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call," the agency said, adding that the ship sustained "some damage." "Authorities are investigating," UKMTO added.
The Houthi rebel group stressed previously that any vessel "linked to Israel" could be targeted by its missiles.
