German authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian man accused of sabotaging the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea nearly two years ago, Ednews informs via German media.
The suspect, identified as 44-year-old Volodymyr Zhuravlov, allegedly orchestrated the explosions that damaged the pipelines on September 26, 2022. Zhuravlov had been living in Poland but had reportedly gone into hiding.
Traces of explosives were found on a yacht rented by the alleged attackers, which German investigators believe was used to transport the charges. Although Zhuravlov has been linked to the incident, no evidence has been found implicating the Ukrainian government or military.
