Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Thursday that neither Iran nor Pakistan wants to escalate tensions after both countries carried out strikes on each other's territories. He said he remains in contact with both sides and called for calm "as soon as possible."
"We call on friendly and brotherly Iran, Iraq and Pakistan to ensure peace with moderation and common sense. The Republic of Turkey is ready to share its experiences and contribute to the regional countries in the peaceful resolution of disputes," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
