Moscow has received Yerevan’s developments on resolving the situation regarding the broadcasting of Russian channels in Armenia, and contacts on this issue continue, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said answering a question from NEWS.ru, Ednews informs.
“We are in contact with the Armenian side on this issue, we are having consultations, the exchange of views has not been completed. We have received developments from Yerevan, conveyed our thoughts and are in close contact,” the diplomat said, speaking about the situation regarding the broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Armenia.
According to her, the joint task is to settle all existing problematic issues and resolve emerging ones in a mutually respectful manner.
Zakharova stressed that she does not think that Armenia can switch off the broadcasting of Russian channels.
On March 18, Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan said that Yerevan would soon present Moscow with new proposals to resolve the issue of broadcasting Russian TV channels. Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Russian channels broadcasting in Armenia violated certain clauses of the agreement.
