US President Donald Trump has claimed that recent American military strikes have severely weakened Iran's military capabilities, saying the country has been pushed "back to the Stone Ages to a large extent."
Speaking to Newsmax, Trump asserted that Iran's military infrastructure had suffered extensive damage, claiming much of its naval fleet, aircraft, radar systems, air defenses and weapons production capacity had been destroyed.
"Iran was the bully of the Middle East, and they weren't going to be bullying me," Trump said, adding that while Tehran still retains some missile capabilities, its overall military strength has been significantly diminished.
Trump also alleged that Iran's military has lost 159 ships, around 200 aircraft, and approximately 84% of its weapons manufacturing capability. He did not provide evidence to support those figures, and they have not been independently verified.
