Global oil prices climbed to their highest levels in four weeks as escalating military exchanges between the United States and Iran continued to fuel concerns over potential disruptions to energy supplies.
Brent crude futures rose 2% to $84.98 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 2.1% to $79.79 per barrel as of 00:51 GMT.
The latest gains come after a volatile trading session on Monday, when Brent crude surged 9.6%, recording its largest single-day increase since May 2020, as investors reacted to growing geopolitical risks in the Gulf.
