"The Khojaly genocide was part of the Armenian policy of systematic ethnic cleansing," it has been noted in the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 32nd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, Ednews reports.
"As other crimes against humanity perpetrated by Armenia against Azerbaijanis, Khojaly genocide is also a gross violation of international humanitarian law, human rights law, as well as the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination," noted in the statement.
