Saudi Arabian Embassy in Azerbaijan issues statement, Embassy told ONA.
The statement reads that recently, some social networking and unreliable media reported that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United States has supported the draft resolution on the recognition of the so-called "Armenian genocide" during the Ottoman Empire in the US Congress.
The embassy says that the position of the Kingdom regarding the issues of the brother country of Azerbaijan is unchangeable. All these statements are not true, and the ambassador has not met any member of the Congress so far and has not commented on the issue.
The embassy says that these sites and newspapers have the intention to intimidate and split the Saudi Arabian Kingdom and Muslim nations by spreading misinformation about the Kingdom and its position, for their own interests and goals.
