European stock exchanges wrapped up the trading session on Tuesday recording gains as the European Union's agreement on semiconductor production in the region lifted the optimism among investors.
Ednews reports that British Office for National Statistics revealed that the economic inactivity in the country fell by 0.4 percentage points in the trimester ending February.
Frankfurt's DAX rose 0.49%, as MTU Aero Engines AG surged 3.54%. The Euro Stoxx 50 climbed 0.58%, with Flutter Entertainment plc as its best performer, growing 2.62%. The CAC 40 gained 0.46% as Vivendi SE jumped 6.32%. and London's FTSE 100 added 0.38%, with Entain plc skyrocketing 7.24%.
The euro traded 0.30% higher against the dollar, to sell at $1.09618 at 5:36 pm CET. The British pound advanced 0.34% versus the greenback to go at $1.24181.
