"Akkuyu" NPP under the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of Turkey is insured for 700 million euros.

According to information, the law on nuclear regulation was adopted in March 2022:
"According to the law, compulsory insurance has been introduced for those who will create and operate nuclear facilities, as well as those who will work in the field of nuclear energy.
Nuclear Insurance was established as part of the decision. It was decided that the Special Risk Management Center managed by "Turk Reasürans", a subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, will provide insurance coverage. In this context, Akkuyu NPP, Turkey's first nuclear power plant, was insured by the center for 700 million euros.
