United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Tuesday that the US and Turkey are imposing sanctions against two "financial facilitators for designated terrorist groups Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham and Katibat al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, both of which operate in Syria."
Ednews informs via the Guardian, Blinken noted that Turkey froze the assets of the alleged "terrorist facilitators."
"Today’s action underscores our commitment to collaborating with our Turkish partners in degrading terrorist financing networks across the region. The United States will continue to take actions to disrupt the flow of funds to terrorist groups worldwide," Blinken added.
