More than 33,000 earthquakes have been recorded in Turkiye since February 2023.
EDnews reports that the country's Emergency Situations Management Agency (AFAD) released information about this.
Thus, 33,077 earthquakes were recorded in Turkiye from February 6 to May 6 of this year.
It should be noted that on February 6, earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in Kahramanmaraş province in southeastern Turkiye.
Earthquakes were felt in 11 provinces of the country and neighboring states. The Turkish authorities called the earthquake "the disaster of the century". As a result of the earthquake that occurred in the southeast of Turkiye on February 6, the number of people who died has reached 50,500.
