Türkiye will send a satellite into space from its territory for the first time, President of Defence Industry Agency of Türkiye Ismail Demir said in an interview with NTV, EDnews reports.
According to him, it is planned to send a 100 kg mini satellite into space next year, and a 1.5 ton satellite at the next stage.
He added that a rocket and satellite flight complex will be established in the territory of Igneada district of Kirklareli.
