Ukraine’s Parliament has approved the decision on the imposition of sanctions by Kyiv against Iran for a period of 50 years, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said, EDnews informs referring to TASS.
He noted that 328 deputies voted for the relevant resolution.
On May 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the parliament a draft resolution approving the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, according to which Kyiv would impose sanctions against Iran for a period of 50 years.
They, in particular, provide for a complete ban on trade with Iran. Since restrictive measures affect aspects regulated, among other things, by the laws of Ukraine, the decision must be approved by the parliament.
