South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa (pictured) arrived in Saint Petersburg with a delegation of African leaders for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The group aims to discuss ways to resolve the conflict between Kiev and Moscow, according to TASS. South Africa's head of state was accompanied by Senegal's Presidents Macky Sall, Zambia's Hakainde Hichilema, Comoros President Azali Assoumani and special representatives from Uganda, Egypt, and Congo.
The news comes after Ramaphosa at a press conference in Kiev on Friday called for de-escalation on both sides.
