Russia has been obtaining Chinese drones for military use in the war against Ukraine for months, Nikkei's investigation has found, with the report revealed on Saturday.
According to Nikkei, in the period between December 2022 and April 2023, Russian companies were found to have bought at least 37 unmanned aerial vehicles from China, in the amount of approximately $103,000. In the customs clearance records, the shipment was designated as being "for use in the special military operation."
Previously, China insisted that it wasn't providing Russia with any lethal military equipment.
