An earthquake of 5.6 magnitude hit Taiwan on Sunday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Ednews reports.
The epicenter was some 87 kilometers east of the town of Hengchun, which has a population of 29,821, as of March 2023.
The tremor struck the region at a shallow depth of 4.2 kilometers, however, it remains unknown as of yet whether there were any casualties or damages.
