Direct flights will be launched between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Hungary in August this year, the Transport Ministry of Uzbekistan said, Ednews informs via Uzbek media.
The flights will be operated by Qanot Sharq Airlines.
"The airline will launch flights on this route from August 20, 2023. Flights will be operated on an Airbus A320 aircraft," the statement said.
Agreements on the establishment of flights were reached in mid-May during negotiations between the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zhasubek Choriyev and the Ambassador of Hungary Gyula Kovacs.
Earlier, the need to launch direct flights between the two countries was discussed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Minister of Economic Development of Hungary Marton Nagy at the Tashkent Investment Forum.
