Ukraine's Trade Representative Taras Kachka revealed in an exclusive interview with Politico's Brussels Playbook published on Monday that Kiev intends to take legal action against Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia due to their refusal to lift the ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products.
"It is important to prove that these actions are legally wrong. And that's why we will start legal proceedings tomorrow," Kachka said.
Earlier this month, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary announced their own restrictions on Ukrainian grain imports in response to the European Commission's decision not to extend a ban on the country's five EU neighbors. Ukraine said it would respond civilly to this decision.
